Preparing solidly for an Osaka trip. I learned about Tourcast when they kindly answered my question on Naver Knowledge iN while I was preparing a first Japan trip with my son. Travel bloggers also recommend it as a must-have app for Japan. We’re going at the end of the year, and they’ve been kindly answering our questions, and the guidebook makes it easy to find tips, which helps a lot. In my opinion, this is the #1 must-have app for trips to Japan. On my Osaka trip I once got lost even with the subway map, which gave me a trauma about the subway. I didn’t want to struggle again on my Tokyo trip, so I searched hard and found Tourcast. Thanks to it, this Tokyo trip was really comfortable. Especially the explanations of the subway system and transportation passes are super detailed—more helpful than any article or video. I never got confused or wasted time looking for things while taking the subway in Tokyo.

Traveling in Japan with my mom and nephew… My nephew left his wallet at a rest-stop convenience store (we realized well over an hour after leaving ㅜㅜ). No one spoke Japanese, so we were really at a loss~ Then I suddenly remembered Tourcast, which had helped with planning, and on a whim I posted (honestly, I didn’t expect any reply).. A must-have app for Js—traveling in Japan just got easier!! I’m totally a J-type traveler—book all my trains and lodging before I go—but in Japan the transportation is pricey and the passes vary so much by region and duration that I couldn’t figure it out ㅠ I was swimming in a sea of information and wondering, “Am I understanding this right?” I asked the confusing parts in the Q&A and got a quick and kind reply within a day ^^ My destination Kanazawa is a smaller city so it wasn’t in the app yet, but it seems like they’ll gradually upload all of Japan! The TOC categories are super detailed, and the content is written without unnecessary fluff—just like a tutor who picks out exactly what you need—so it's very readable, and all the necessary links are well attached!
