Kyoto Transit Guide APP
-
The Japan Travel app also works in Kyoto, but there is a dedicated app that is more specialized for Kyoto public transport.
If you plan to visit Kyoto, this app is strongly recommended. -
After installing the app, tap 'Agree' to accept the terms of service.
-
On the first screen, the Questionnaire can be skipped by tapping Close or 回答しない.
-
Departure and arrival locations can be entered in Korean, English, or Japanese.
You can also add stopovers if needed. -
Some Korean place names may not appear in search results.
For example, Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion) is registered under its official name “Rokuon-ji (鹿苑寺)”,
so it may not appear when searching for 'Kinkaku-ji' in Korean.
In this case, search using the Japanese or Chinese characters such as 金閣寺. -
Search results are shown by color.
- Blue: Train
- Green: Bus
- Red: Tourist attraction
Use the color guide to choose the correct transport option.
-
You can set a search time to find transfer routes for your preferred departure time.
-
In the Detailed Route View, you can check bus numbers.
When you select a bus stop, you can also view the timetable. -
Set your route before your trip, then tap the ♡ button to save it to 'Favorites'.
This allows you to use the route easily even without internet access.
