From Haneda Airport to Central Tokyo

Introduction

Haneda Airport is close to central Tokyo, and this is its biggest advantage.
Because of this, airfares are usually slightly higher than Narita Airport.

For this reason, it is important to choose your flight time carefully based on your travel schedule. ✈️

Reach the city in 13 minutes, Tokyo Monorail

If you plan to transfer to the JR Yamanote Line after arriving at Haneda Airport, the Tokyo Monorail is one of the most popular options for travelers.

From Haneda International Terminal to Hamamatsucho Station, it takes only 13 minutes, and the one-way fare is 520 yen.

If you plan to transfer to the JR Yamanote Line and go toward Tokyo Station (right direction), the Monorail can be more convenient than the Keikyu Line below.

  • Monorail & Yamanote Line Discount Ticket: If your arrival day is Saturday, Sunday, a public holiday, or a designated special day, you can use the Monorail and the JR Yamanote Line (all sections) for 540 yen. (One ride only)

Direct trains to Shinjuku, Yokohama, and Asakusa — Keikyu Line

From Haneda International Terminal to JR Yamanote Line Shinagawa Station, it takes about 11–14 minutes, and the one-way fare is 330 yen, which is cheaper than the Tokyo Monorail.

If the Monorail is convenient for the right side of the Yamanote Line (toward Tokyo Station), the Keikyu Line is more convenient for the left side (toward Shinjuku).

The line runs through to the Toei Asakusa Line, so you can go directly to Asakusa Station without changing trains. You can also reach Yokohama Station directly for 370 yen one way.

This means you can finish your trip in Asakusa or Yokohama on your last day and go straight to Haneda Airport, which is a very useful travel tip ✨
